Down many paths I walk in dreams Past restful thoughts And along Lucien streams of memory, A Phantasm of Morpheus. Though tides of time buffet me, awake, In dreams do I sail the Seas of Antiquity Searching for Emerald Shores in the youthful greens of Time Infantile. Those shores lay still further off In the deep Abysses at the roots of all worlds, That dreadful place where Nightmares take eldritch shape Material, Terrifying, the Realm where Mad Gods dream of the never-was And there the most faithful of dutiful servants Hammers out the Annals of Infinite Potential To add unblinking, unending, ignorantly to the Music of the Spheres. Deaf to the screams of dying dreams.
